ARScale — Privacy Policy

ARScale (“the app”) is an augmented-reality measuring tool. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short: ARScale does not collect, store, or share any personal data, and nothing leaves your device.

Information we collect

None. ARScale does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal or device information. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. It does not send your data to us or to anyone else, and it works fully offline.

Camera

ARScale requires access to your device camera. The camera feed is used solely, and in real time, on your device to power augmented-reality tracking, measuring, and on-device object outlining. Camera images are processed on the device and are never stored by the app, never uploaded, and never shared. The app does not save photos or video.

Motion and position sensors

To place and hold measurements in space, the app reads your device’s motion sensors (such as the accelerometer and gyroscope) through Google’s augmented-reality services. This information is used only on the device for tracking and is not collected or transmitted.

On-device storage

The app stores small preferences locally on your device — for example, your settings and whether you have seen the in-app tutorial. This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Google Play Services for AR (ARCore)

ARScale uses Google Play Services for AR (“ARCore”) to provide augmented-reality features. Your use of ARCore is also subject to Google’s Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Permissions used

Camera — required for augmented-reality measuring. Used on-device only.

Children’s privacy

ARScale does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new “Last updated” date.
